Creative use of spatial audio is integral in creating high-quality immersive experiences and growth for the creative industries. Interoperability, skills deficits and technical complexity between Digital Audio Workstations (DAW) and Game Engines such as Unreal Engine 5 (UE5) currently causes friction.

The industry standard Audio Definition Model (ADM) format is used by market leaders in immersive audio - e.g. Dolby Atmos, Sony360AR, L-Acoustics, D&B Audiotechnik - but there is no support for ADM in any game engine.

We will build a suite of software that hides complexity and provides missing interoperability across existing tools by making an ADM bridge consisting of VST authoring plugins for use in DAWs and a plugin to replicate the spatial audio mix in UE5\.

Composers and sound designers will be able to prototype faster, communicating their ideas in real time through bi-directional editing and transfer. A simplified production pipeline will remove technical barriers, lower costs and reduce the number of specialist skills needed to implement audio assets into 3D virtual environments.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
