We provide a crucial piece of technology which enables the sorting of garments by material before they can be recycled. Companies and fashion brands worldwide already use our material identification devices to sort textile waste, reduce emissions, and eliminate pollution.

However, our current technology requires manual labour to scan each garment. Based on our customers' requests, in this project, we will develop an automated solution which will substantially improve the economy and scale of textile waste processing and support the development of circular fashion. Our automated solution will combine state-of-the-art technologies, including our near-infrared material sensing and machine vision, to deliver a proof of concept of the technology as part of this grant.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
