Once activated its low surface temperature provides an infrared light-wave in the range of 9nm to 20nm which transmits up to 3.5m's and warms all surfaces and occupants in its path, taking room temperatures up to 28&amp;deg;c

As infrared bypasses the air and warms the buildings surfaces and occupants directly, this results in significant savings over other forms of 'direct electrical' heating and provides a more comfortable and healthy environment for occupants.

It is suitable for most new build and retrofit situations and can work effectively and economically as both a whole house or a hybrid heating solution. The product has been tried and tested in Europe and has been implemented in the UK in homes since 2020 with great success

In order to aid with the transition to net zero, the UK will need to take an agnostic approach to heating homes and buildings. Currently the focus is on heat pumps but not all properties are suited to this form of heating. Direct electric heating refers to all other types of heating which wrap together inefficient style heaters such as panel heaters, fan heaters and bar heaters. Infrared, despite it's obvious differences is included in this group.

This application is to aid the company with some of the testing required by the BRE in order to prove it's efficiency, comfort and ease of use levels before issuing it with the necessary Q coding in SAP.

Gaining SAP approval will enable housebuilders and social housing providers a clear solution to homes that are unsuitable for heat pumps.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
