This project allows Keracol to complete the research behind new findings from its research on anti-ageing skincare solutions and support the commercialisation of the innovation to the beauty industry through its own brand but also unlocking potential R&amp;amp;D partnership services.

In the UK, a considerable amount of fruit and vegetable peels, seeds, grain husks, and shells are either composted industrially, processed through anaerobic digestion, or, less ideally, landfilled or burnt. Keracol adopts a strategy of valorising these residuals, specifically the non-edible by-products of UK-grown or -processed fruits and vegetables.

We have crafted a unique and proprietary extraction process to derive maximum benefit from these valuable ingredients. This method not only optimises the extraction efficiency but also captures the full potential of the active compounds, and technologies are solutions to the drawbacks of current practices, consistent with Keracol's sustainable and ethical production ethos.

Through this project, we aim to provide robust data to support IP protection, with performance bench-marked against current key ingredients in anti-ageing skincare products.

This data will demonstrate the superiority and overall benefits in anti-ageing skincare applications and close the loop on food wastes, as well as creating value. Keracol plans to utilise the findings and capital investment to develop an exclusive range of anti-ageing skincare products, The goal is to introduce a comprehensive line of genuinely sustainable, naturally-derived, and effective skincare products to the market. The brand's commercial success will have a ripple effect on the cosmetic industry by demonstrating that ingredients from renewable source in direct line with the circular economy are commercially profitable.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
