Unlike traditional databases and industry specific job boards, which consist of long lists you need to sift through, Cinetopia Connect will use the data of its community to make tailored connections the same way many dating apps can --- by asking its community their preferences, ambitions, aspirations and using this to link each person to the right match, knowledge, events, and opportunity. We are building a data-driven, tangible tool that will help our community connect more effectively with each other. Cinetopia Connect is part of Cinetopia, a hub of activity for filmgoing and filmmaking based in Edinburgh. Since 2018, we have been producing events and content for both the public as well as film industry professionals, bringing the film community together, from film screenings, industry networking events, masterclasses, a radio show/podcast on local independent station in Edinburgh, EHFM, and our touring outdoor film festival, Cinescapes.
