We communicate for work and play, to express our emotions, our desires and our needs. There are over 100 million people who have difficulties communicating and/or interacting with technology due to physical disability caused by disease or injury. In severe cases, people who can’t communicate following severe brain injury are considered to be minimally conscious or in a vegetative state because they cannot move to communicate. This is desperate situation for the families and for the clinical teams who need new assessment tools for such cases. NeuroCONCISE has a solution to these problems. Researched for over 14 years we have an award winning wearable neurotechnology that reliably measures and translates brainwaves into control signals that allow people to communicate and interact with computers without moving – a movement-free communication technology. Our platform technology has general consumer applications but can also enable clinical teams to improve patient outcomes following severe brain injury by providing better, quicker and much more cost effective diagnosis and treatment options. We have already experienced demand for our products and our platform neurotechnology offering has been developed to not only address a critical need but expand to other larger markets. This project will expedite our route to market by improving the evidence base for our technology through end user trials and early customer validation and finalise our product to meet sales targets in 2018.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
