Our modular, self-assembly, table-top aquaponic system will be the focus of an educational program based around the themes of sustainable food production, responsible resource management and the re-imagining of urban environments. Working with STEM delivery partners, we will market this to educators across the country. Aquaponics demonstrates a sustainable food production system that can be integrated into urban environments. Our system will provide valuable practical lessons for all ages supported by a suite of lesson plans and experiments. It also provides a platform for integration with sensors and electronics (e.g. Raspberry-pi) to teach research skills, experimental design and to develop programming skills. An online community will allow students to collaborate with others around the country in a Big-data study overseen by University Researchers.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
