Long waiting times and appointment backlogs to see specialists have been further exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic and also by the rise of age-related conditions in our ageing population. Our software product addresses three key areas in eye care :

(1) help to keep a significant proportion of patients within community care (i.e. high-street optometrists);

(2) reduce unnecessary referrals to hospitals ophthalmogy services;

(3) reduce waiting times for the delivery of sight preserving care and reduce costs, as patients will receive the right care at the right time in the best location.

Ultimately, this will help to improve patients' quality of life.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
