* A major challenge in complex litigation is organising, cross-referencing, accessing, and presenting mountains of evidence. Research shows that the visual communication achieved when using modern EEP systems can increase a jury's retention rate from 20% to 80%. Despite this, the UK criminal justice system still relies to a large extent, on a combination of outmoded manual processes based on paper.
* Court advocates require better, quicker, more flexible, and cheaper ways of creating and communicating their cases. After analysing the needs and commercial viability for such a product, SRi Forensics has begun to develop a comprehensive electronic evidence presentation (EEP) application, that can be used during smaller magistrate trials, larger Crown Court cases, complex civil trials, and even international tribunals. This innovation leverages cloud-based services and plans to use A.I. to drive efficiency and performance.
* Implementing our software would drastically reduce the reliance upon paper-based bundles, reduce printing ink usage, and be of benefit to our fragile environment with measurable environmental benefits.
* This project will create a standalone software application with an A.I. enhanced, dynamic database driven content management system able to be used online. It's designed to utilise A.I. innovatively to streamline the sorting and collating of information. It will initially run on tablets but we plan to develop for other platforms in the future.
* The application will have a wide range of features and will develop more over time. It will run in any browser, import virtually any type of document or media, be linked to a mapping solution, be incrementally searchable, and be able to add and subtract material in the library.
* These features plus many more will reduce time taken to prepare case presentations, and be at a price point enabling case presentation for smaller cases.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
