The project will build on the existing state-of-the-art in system simulation, computational fluid dynamics, thermal modelling and model-based control to produce a validated and integrated tool-set applicable from concept level through the development cycle for improving the thermal management of engine compartments during critical operating conditions. The project will deliver a validated simulation tool for fast transient investigations of flow/thermal processes having with a long timescale, allowing to further the understanding on flow management within confined environments and enabling to substantially reduce the development timing and costs of vehicle programmes.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
