We offer awareness, education, training and ongoing support to children and young people and their families as well to the healthcare professionals who support them.

Initially developed as a pilot project, but subsequently enhanced and improved through user feedback and demand, We have won a number of awards, including for Design & Development, and we are centrally funded by the NHS and offered free across the country. We are also in the process of developing a Type 2 platform (T2D) and app, based on our successful Type 1 model.

We are onboarded into 95% of paediatric clinics in England and Wales with two thirds of the more than 30,000 Type 1 patients already registered and using our app and resources.

We have been recognized by The Health Foundation as an exemplar model for long-term conditions and demand for our model is causing us to examine the robustness and flexibility of our technical structures and consider how these might be improved to assist our future development both in the UK and internationally.

Our project aims to help future proof our technical structure by creating a DigiBete Content Authoring and Management Platform which will enable easier replication for other conditions and for international versions of our resources, for which there is growing demand.

It will cover the platform and app for both T1D and T2D, and will help secure our current commercial position and our future development potential, in the UK and abroad.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
