These challenges include nutritional, medical and growth issues for children alongside stress, anxiety and relationship battles for parents and children alike.

This project is focused on developing and validating the core recommendation engine behind a new digital tool for parents, helping them understand more about their own child's fussy eating characteristics and implement a tailored plan of action. Using highly personalised advice backed by the latest fussy eating research, Sprout will provide parents with practical and emotional support to improve their child's relationship with food and reduce family stress and anxiety. Our services also connect families together to gain solidarity and support from each other. With ever more working from home following Covid 19 and a subsequent increase in the use of digital platforms, there is more need than ever to connect people facing similar challenges.

The project will develop a bespoke feeding survey, a dataset of fussy eating causes and solutions (based on leading academic research), and an AI driven recommendation engine that uses these inputs to automatically create a personalised profile and plan of action for each child.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
