The project will test a new type of wireless technology called **LoRaWAN** (Long Range Wide Area Network), which allows devices to send and receive small amounts of data over long distances using very little power.

Today, many common smart devices-such as baby monitors, video doorbells, radiator controls, or motion sensors, rely on Wi-Fi or Bluetooth to function. These systems often send personal data through the internet to large cloud servers, which can raise concerns around **privacy, data security, and energy consumption**. They also require reliable broadband, which not all homes have.

LoRaSecureAI takes a different approach. It uses LoRaWAN to create a secure, building-wide wireless network that does not depend on Wi-Fi or internet access. This means devices can still communicate even if the internet goes down, and personal data can be processed and stored locally, offering better privacy and control to the user.

The project also uses **Artificial Intelligence (AI)** at the local level to help devices make smart decisions. For example, radiator valves could learn the best times to heat a room based on how it's used, or motion sensors could detect unusual activity without sending video footage to the cloud. This kind of local &amp;quot;edge intelligence&amp;quot; reduces the amount of data that needs to be transmitted, saving energy and helping to protect sensitive information.
