It will revolutionise the high value manufacturing sector such as the aerospace, energy and medical implant industry, enabling complex, lightweight, high performance parts to be produced with nore functional materials with less material waste and more economically. Unfortunately, despite the clear potential, until recently AM has been largely restricted to the production of prototypes, and components for test rigs.

In project "NeuBeam(r) for Industrial Applications" (Project I-AM **I**ndustrial-**AM**) a comprehensive programme of experimental, theoretical and development work will be conducted to address some of the critical challenges which must be overcome for widespread adoption of AM for the manufacture of production parts within the high value manufacturing sectors. In particular the project will focus on the enabling technologies for large stress free, quality assured and cost-effective parts to be build using Wayland Additive's NeuBeam(r) technology, a technology that overcomes critical technological constraints of existing AM technologies and has the capability for right first time, every time.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
