Challenges exist in pushing technology forward in the sector to provide ever more immersive experiences to customers. In particular the augmentation of VR headsets with additional technologies, such as immersive sound, interactive physical environments and physical special effects.

Luminous Show Technology has identified an opportunity to develop new technology for the VR sector to fill a currently un-served need --to provide VR users with greater levels of feedback while using devices. Existing technologies require users to wear heavy, and movement limiting haptic vests/gloves/suits to be able to provide feedback on the user's body. This approach has many drawbacks as detailed in the application.

Luminous Show Technology are developing an exciting offering for the VR market. Real-time haptic feedback using contact-less technology fully integrated into the VR system. This provides a way of interacting with users and players without them needing to wear special suits or equipment. A hygienic, wear resistant approach with high levels of flexibility for multiple applications.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
