Building on successful Innovate UK CR&amp;amp;D funding where Movetru validated lower-body biomechanics and launched automated movement assessments, this project accelerates development into a full-body motion capture and analysis system with integrated movement profiling, automated screenings, and a novel AI-driven training tool that guides athletes on how to improve movement quality in real time.

This 12-month project will deliver the **full-body validation.** Movetru will collaborate with a **world-leading University**, as a global leader in sports science, to conduct rigorous laboratory validation against gold-standard systems. This ensures validity, measurement accuracy, and confidence for decision-making.

This project is critical given:

* **ACL injuries are up to 8&amp;times; more common in young female athletes** (typically during puberty-related neuromuscular changes), with recovery costs often exceeding **&amp;pound;10,000 per case** and long-term osteoarthritis risk increasing 4--6&amp;times;.
* MSK injury accounts for **30% of GP consultations** and MSK conditions cost the NHS **~&amp;pound;5 billion annually**.
* Childhood inactivity and obesity cost the NHS **over &amp;pound;6.5 billion per year**, with dropout from sport accelerating after injury.
* Early biomechanical intervention improves long-term MSK health and reduces chronic disease burden.

Validated full-body data and automated screening allow Movetru to support **youth athletes, elderly individuals, and rehabilitation populations**.

This project strengthens Northern Ireland's technology cluster by expanding Movetru's R&amp;amp;D capacity, growing local employment, enhancing data science, and ensuring long-term commercial exploitation from NI.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
