Industrial paint waste (especially automotive) contains a mixture of pigments, heavy metals and some residual solvents and its disposal costs are highly dependent on its composition. Encapsu Waste UK has discovered a method to encapsulate hazardous waste paint sludge inside an inert waste ceramic material that renders the waste paint harmless and non-leaching. The resulting material can then be used as an aggregate in concrete products. We need an expert to explore and validate the market for the proposed product use and identify alternative uses for thepaint waste filled product, analysing process costs to provide independent validation of the process economics.
