Mothership Project is run by two mothers creatives committed to making this provision inclusive and financially accessible to all. High cost of childcare and lack of access and flexibility to studio spaces that nurture both the caregiving and creative roles, are major aspects for the dropping numbers of women working in the creative sector.

Mothership was inspired by discussions during Mothers Who Make Birmingham hub at Stryx, and we want this project to further expand the ethos of consciously celebrating care and creativity, radically supporting connection and inclusively inviting community. It ensures that women are empowered and enabled to work in safe and supportive environments with access to high quality developmental opportunities. We also believe that children have the right to grow in stimulating and inspirational environments providing access to culture. Mothership Project is the '21st century village' for mothers providing high quality personal, social and emotional, communication, language, and physical development opportunities for children.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
