In order to support the development of the market offering of UltraFan, Roll-Royce has engaged in a multi-year system level demonstration programme which will culminate with a flight testing campaign, to advance the readiness level of several innovative sub-system architectural technologies within a geared drive integrated configuration. SODOR will provide demonstration of efficiency and structural capabilities of components of these technologies as well as of the handling characteristics of the integrated system, by exposing the engine to the highest power conditions of the full operating running envelope.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
