The sector is facing many challenges; increasing levels of waste generated by households during the pandemic and disruption to waste and recycling collection services, against a background of stagnant recycling rates, increased public and regulatory pressures and a collapse of global recycling markets. A solution is needed which responds to these challenges and supports the UK's green recovery, by developing sustainable and circular economy. The FARRM (Fiberight Advanced Recovery and Recycling of Materials) project is a feasibility study of Fiberight's circular economy technology which creates value-added products from residual waste. In Phase 1 of the project the opportunity for an innovative advanced recovery and recycling solution for the UK's municipal solid waste stream will be evaluated.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
