Cash tips often go unreported and existing distribution systems struggle with compliance, which is only exacerbated by the hospitality industry's high staff turnover. In addition, irregular income and seasonality makes it difficult for hospitality workers to access financial services, resulting in a preference for cash and minimal long-term savings. To address this systemic problem, TiPJAR wants to develop 'TipTechHub', the central finance platform for underbanked tipped workers. It will feature financial education, dedicated ISA and savings accounts, benefits and cards, and integrates with TiPJAR's existing digital tip distribution platform for employers. This will allow hospitality workers worldwide to receive tips directly from employers through a dedicated TiPJAR account, linked to a payment card for daily expenses and a savings account for the future.
