This enables funding and action to be deployed in line with ideas and needs in a place-based context. The research will be inclusive and accessible, operating across societal and socioeconomic levels (e.g. age, income, status), to ensure a broad reach for depth of responses. It will use the 4 voices of design approach to ensure the voice of experience, those for whom the project is aimed at, get their perspective and needs into the project.

The result of such a platform would be an emergence of local, environmental governance that is responsive and contextual, bottom-up and participatory. Such a governance landscape has the potential not only to be far more effective in facing environmental challenges, but would also have far broader benefits for the local community in terms of economy, culture, quality of life, empowerment, etc.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
