Our research has shown that some of the current software applications have limitations in their ability to model thermal mass, night ventilation and green roofs. It is clear from the modelling we have undertaken that overheating could become a problem in the future if the software is not developed further. The funding would allow us to obtain specialist input to help us optimise the thermal mass and night ventilation calculations for our buildings.
