There are multiple barriers to sustainable product innovation, including slow, manual, disjointed consulting, unintegrated categories (eg chemistry and re-use), limited access to high-quality chemical and circularity insights and barriers of adopting best practice standards and certifications. Overwhelm, and skills, time, funding and operational barriers, make positive-impact products difficult to design.

Materials consultancy, 540WORLD proposes an innovative, multi-layered, digital tool that helps manufacturers take the first step toward healthier, circular product design by simplifying how materials data is organised and understood in a multi-expertise, AI Agent tool, designed for user-friendliness.

This AI Agent consulting companion, is designed with jargon-free language and high quality, safe, and instant outputs because the data structure, expertise, criteria (ingredients and circularity), and benchmark innovation standards for product certification, are already built in and integrated. This is a world-first, integrated service model designed to save time, and money, and reduce complexity.

To navigate the product design process, manufacturers often rely on third-party experts, such as chemistry assessors, who evaluate materials and translate findings into safe, actionable guidance. 540WORLD's AI Agent is designed to streamline these processes. It allows manufacturers to submit early-stage product data, such as material ingredients or product policies, and receive immediate, integrated, structured, expert-informed feedback, about the safety of their inputs, healthier alternatives, circularity and other outputs.

540WORLD's tool helps manufacturers understand functional risks (eg, whether a problematic chemical is present) and how their ingredients align with circularity goals or regulatory standards. Feedback visuals (traffic-light indicators and progress bars), make it easier to identify high-priority issues, opportunities and workloads.

This proposed AI Agent tool is an extension and integration with powerful, existing AI collaborations, specifically an AI-integrated chemistry assessor platform (enables secure collaboration between manufacturers and third-party assessors) and an AI-powered web portal builder (providing context-aware answers from data and integrating multiple layers data ) for our AI Agent to aggregate for the manufacturer's benefit.

Manufacturers embedding this early-stage tool upfront in their product development process, can experience an accessible, smart guide to make informed design choices before committing to suppliers, saving time, reducing costs, and accelerating innovation, with sharable data bundles to upload for multiple other contexts.

The prototype aims to be piloted in the built environment sector, but is sector-agnostic. Improving data-informed decision-making, reducing workflow frictions, and helping manufacturers align with leading sustainability frameworks for their marketing functions, will accelerate positive-impact products.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
