It is the only pain assessment tool that is tangible (by employing touch). It is easy to use and puts the patient in the driving seat by using Neurotact's AI-driven data analytics and pain visualisation. It is designed to be intuitive and avoids the use of questionnaires, making it a quick and easy experience. Neurotact offers the ability to calibrate assessment for each user. Using a tactile hand-held manipulable device employing multidimensional sensor data and measures pain through time and allows users to visualise their pain as a pain signature. With an AI-powered platform. Neurotact provides a comprehensive pain score, treatment outcome and pain behaviour change predictions.

Every day in every clinical facility in the world patients are asked to report on their pain (intensity, location, severity, duration, impact). Given how common this task is, it is surprising that pain assessment tools haven't meaningfully changed in the last fifty years, despite well-documented shortcomings. Current pain assessment requires patients to reduce and transform their experience into a verbal (using words such as severe, mild, moderate) or numerical representation (from 1-10). This simplification forces the complex quality of pain into an oversimplified 'mark' that sacrifices all of the rich information. This simplification is much hated by patients.

Neurotact offers individuals the ability to visualise their own pain signature. Importantly, it can be used at home or on the move. It liberates pain assessment from the clinic and gives the power back to the individual who can assess pain as it is happening. Together patients and clinicians can tailor their treatment and monitor changes associated with treatment, putting the assessment back in control of the patient.

Further, data can also be aggregated across patients to build phenotypes of patient pain experience related to specific contexts (e.g. cancer pain, pain after surgery, chronic pain). These patterns can provide clinicians with a better picture of common patient pathways of pain, allowing for smarter treatment tailoring.

Neurotact is an investable British innovation that can provide a self-driven healthcare solution for people living with pain, trying to assess when and how pain becomes unmanageable.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
