The units boast superior heat delivery characteristics, developed using computational fluid dynamic modelling and physical testing, to ensure rapid room warm up and even temperature distribution. In-built thermostats and user-friendly controls ensure that electrical power is only drawn when required to maintain the desired room temperature at any given time, thus avoiding wasteful use of energy. Trust Electric Heating has served retail customers for ten years and recently expanded to serve commercial customers.

A major opportunity for the company lies in providing Neos units for dwelling retrofit either as a single 'measure' or as part of whole-dwelling upgrade under grant supported programmes such as the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF)/Home Upgrade Grants (HUG)/Energy Company Obligation (ECO) .

In order for Trust's Neos units to be considered for such projects, they need to be listed on SAP/RdSAP. Due to the innovative nature of the technology, its performance cannot be characterised under current SAP Product Characteristics Database (PCDB) and hence is largely excluded from being specified in these schemes. The grant would enable Trust Electric Heating to pursue specific listing in SAP/RdSAP through the Appendix Q route, that will recognise the energy efficiency benefits of the superior heat distribution and time/temperature control of the Neos units. Achieving Appendix Q listing will open up the market for this UK designed and manufactured option to retrofit and new build, providing an alternative where heat pumps are not viable, that can be installed quickly and easily, require little space (and no external unit) and has comparatively low embodied carbon.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
