The project will establish a 'Robot sandpit/playground' at Brompton's site in Greenford and make use of EKC's existing robotic learning factory in Canterbury to test the viability of integrating robots across 10 identified operations. These span Brompton's 'body shop', 'paint' and/or 'assembly' areas. The ultimate goal is to understand which operations are most suitable for the integration of robotics / automation and which have the potential to unlock a step change in productivity, quality, scale and sustainability. In doing so, Brompton will be able to de-risk their roll out, firstly at Greenford, and secondly, for the planned new facility in Ashford. The project will last 15 months, cost &amp;pound;750k to deliver and involves ABB, GEMA, EKC as partners and HSSMI as subcontractors.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
