Currently, the most viable alternative to finding new sources is to design and develop products using materials that can be recycled, regenerated, or re-used several times. This project will provide a solution that will enable contributing to this basic principle of the circular economy, ensuring sustainability by minimising the use of energy and new resources with a significant reduction of the product whole-life carbon footprint. The proposed innovation will allow the recovery of valuable materials from the large amounts of GRP waste being produced yearly across Europe and the rest
of the world. DC’s solution will deliver materials that can easily be remanufactured. Initially targeted at infrastructure markets such as the rail industry that DC already supplies, additional applications for these materials will be investigated in sectors including national grid, automotive, aerospace, maritime.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
