Recruitment to a Pre-Accelerator within the FMA will be expanded, to include a cohort of SMEs developing radiopharmaceuticals and/or advanced therapies for cancer, eight of which will then be selected for this Radiopharmaceuticals and Advanced Cancer Therapies Accelerator programme.

The project brings together an internationally recognised consortium of scientific and technical leaders in the radiopharmaceuticals and advanced cancer therapies field, with world-leading expertise, alongside commercialisation and investment experts. The project is led by LYVA Labs partnering with:

* Bionow
* Medicines Discovery Catapult (MDC)
* Future Medicines Institute (FMI)
* Centre for Process Innovation (CPI)
* UK National Nuclear Laboratory (UKNNL)

These organisations form a super-cluster of accelerators, with national and international networks and a track record of delivering positive outcomes for SMEs and HEIs in health and life sciences. The programme will create a supported space for entrepreneurs to explore and develop their ideas, including relevant drug discovery processes, manufacturing, technical and regulatory advice, alongside market analysis, funding options and commercial exploitation, enabling them to translate their radiopharmaceutical and advanced cancer therapy research. They will be supported to write compelling grant applications, become investment ready and pitch to investors.

Running 1st November 2025 to 31st March 2026, alongside our FMA, and building on previous experience of running bespoke, tailored accelerators; our two-stage approach will deliver a Pre-Accelerator, for ~30 early-stage companies across both themes (TRL2-4). We will provide them with a strong foundation of knowledge, access to world-leading scientists, experts in product development and regulations, manufacturing and scaling, and research facilities through the Catapults and specialist centres. This will enable the cohorts to develop partnerships to support ongoing R&D beyond this project. In addition, the cohort will be supported to establish a peer-to-peer network.

During the Pre-Accelerator a cohort of 8 companies from the radiopharmaceutical and/or advanced cancer therapy sector will progress to the Accelerator, receiving bespoke support to develop detailed plans for R&D, route to market and exploitation and tailored plans for support, focused on technical and scientific challenges.

Innovators will be supported to draft a Biomedical Catalyst grant application. This will be assessed, and feedback provided by grant writers/assessors at partner organisations, preparing the cohort for grant applications. They will also receive investment readiness, pitch training and attend an investor dinner and pitch session with a panel of early-stage and sector-specific investors. An online peer support group will be established.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
