This is an AI approach to generate designs using a kit-of-parts and their parameters and optimise them to fit the requirements. This innovative technology will revolutionise the way manufacturers design, visualise, and manufacture modular and customisable products.

This will be applied to the offsite-construction sector, working with end-users Facit Homes and Stora Enso, to prove a solution that can use requirements and manufacturing efficiencies to generate optimal designs.

Infinitive allow users to arrange pre-designed modules in various configurations, which is novel for a configurator platform. However, with the integration of Generative Modular Design, Infinitive will be able to generate new assembly designs to fulfil given requirements, offering a level of customisation and optimisation that is currently unavailable in the market.

This project is innovative in several ways:

Automated Design Generation: Unlike traditional 3D configurator platforms, our enhanced Infinitive platform will be capable of generating module designs automatically, reducing the time, resources, and expertise required to design customisable products.

Optimisation: Generative Modular Design technology doesn't just create designs; it optimises them. It can take into account various factors, such as material usage, manufacturing time, cost, and environmental impact, and generate the most efficient design that meets the user's requirements.

Integration: The integration of Generative Modular Design technology into a 3D configurator platform is a first in the industry. This integration will create a comprehensive solution for designing, visualising, and manufacturing modular and customisable products.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
