treatment known as Micro-Fresh which is effective in preventing moulds developing on
plastered or plasterboard walls in humid environments. The inhalation of the spores from
moulds is known to be harmful and can lead to asthma and other serious pulmonary
conditions such as aspergilliosis. The purpose of this project is to demonstrate the
effectiveness of Micro-Fresh treatments on representative brick &amp;amp; plaster and block &amp;amp;
plasterboard walls inoculated with Aspergillus fumigatus and Aspergillus niger in a large
environmental chamber at 24 deg C and 95% humidity. Such conditions are known to
promote the growth of Aspergillus sp.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
