Our primary objective is to increase medication adherence through reformulation and easier dosing. We brought a buccal midazolam solution, a nasal diamorphine and an oral methotrexate solution to market. We are a team of 15 people, with experience in various aspects of drug development from early R&D to regulatory approval. We work closely with consultants and contractors to gain expert insights and perform research studies.

In line with Therakind's ethos to enable drug administration with improved compliance, the next-generation pipeline of products utilises DriDose, an innovative, simple-to-operate device for nasal dry powder delivery. Nasal powder delivery allows for rapid onset, bypasses first-pass metabolism and benefits from being needle-free, painless and no sharps wastage. DriDose, backed by strong IP, is available as a reusable device, reducing plastic waste.

We have designed a device that patients or caregivers can easily use to administer their medication. While nasal products such as decongestants, influenza vaccines and corticosteroids have been around for a while, the nose remains an unconventional route of delivery. Nonetheless, patients are welcoming the change in administration habits and this is reflected in the expansion of the global nasal drug market. In that regard, we plan to develop a dry powder formulation of an antiemetic drug and test its compatibility with the DriDose nasal device. DriDose nasal administration can have a fast onset of action compared to oral administration and is a more convenient route of administration compared to the alternatives.

DriDose can be used to administer a range of molecules, including small molecules and peptides. We performed studies with vaccines and peptides, and completed a clinical study with a peptide. In addition to developing in-house products, we plan to license the DriDose technology to pharmaceutical companies.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
