Each element of the product is designed to support this aim by encouraging users to want to use the product and behave in ways that help the collection and recycling of plastic film. From the type of material, to the way it's stored and collected.

We've created the product with universality and ease of use at its heart - trying to make something that everyone can use and that fits in all home environments. Spending time looking at different home setups and understanding the different challenges that user face.

Key features include:

Universal landscape format - less square than a traditional bin - the shape is designed to be flexible and inclusive, live on the floor, countertops, hang or fit in standard kitchen draw units and work for all users, regardless of ability or dexterity.

Letterbox Format which encourages most small format plastic film to be placed in one orientation, helping with storage. For larger films (like carrier bags) the lid lifts off easily.

Retaining Funnel System - The one way funnel system makes it easy for plastic to go in but hard to come out - and puts it in the perfect position to be compacted.

Compacting Functionality, which compacts waste, allowing more capacity in a smaller space and improves efficiency through the supply chain.

Locking handle system for easy carrying and transport.

We've designed the caddy to be practical above all else.

* Easy to clean
* Simple to manufacture - just a few parts
* Affordable
* Designed with a human-centric approach.
* Accessible for all.
* Robust and weatherproof
* Compact and space saving
* Sustainable - recycled materials and easily recyclable at end of life

We want to use this funding to develop the design further, prototype and engage with potential end users and existing trials.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
