According to the FCA's 2023 report, 73% of individuals in the UK lack basic financial literacy, placing the country among the weaker performers compared to similar economies. Globally, financial literacy stands at just 33%, as highlighted by an S&P survey. This demonstrates the need for innovative tools that make financial learning both engaging and impactful.

We are revolutionising financial education by developing a comprehensive learning ecosystem designed to foster financial literacy and inclusion. Our project builds on two foundational products that combine interactive and reflective learning methods, setting the stage for an innovative financial simulation game.

The first product is a physical board game, currently in MVP testing, which immerses players in realistic financial scenarios. Through strategic gameplay, participants learn essential skills such as budgeting, investing, and debt management. Players explore over 25 investment options across six markets, including equities, bonds, and mutual funds, while balancing portfolios and managing loans. This hands-on experience cultivates strategic thinking and financial decision-making in a risk-free, engaging environment.

Building on insights from the board game, we are developing a self-paced financial journal that covers 12 critical personal finance topics, including credit management, saving, and long-term planning. The journal includes reflective exercises, interactive activities, and practical tools that allow users to apply financial concepts to their own lives. This flexible, user-driven approach fosters personal growth and sustained engagement.

These two products set the stage for our next innovation: a real-life financial simulation. This immersive experience will guide users through everyday financial decisions such as managing unexpected expenses, planning for major milestones, and balancing short-term needs with long-term goals. By simulating financial challenges, users will gain practical insights, build resilience, and develop habits that lead to long-term financial stability.

A commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) is at the heart of our mission. We are designing our resources to be inclusive and accessible, ensuring they meet the needs of diverse, historically underserved communities. By collaborating with community partners, we aim to break down barriers to financial empowerment and build a financially literate society, where everyone has the tools to unlock economic opportunities.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
