We’re now applying for TSB funding to develop a precise, long-running, food-grade ‘feasibility rig’ to demonstrate that technique will be effective in the food industry.
It is expected that we will then be able to develop commercial links with one of the International food manufacturers who have already expressed significant interest in the technique (but who need evidence that it will work)
The technique is widely applicable to food products such as confectionery, biscuits, ice cream, but may have spin offs for example in plastics forming and soap manufacture.
The feasibility rig will also allow us to approach a machinery manufacturer with confidence, and so establish a UK based procurement route.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
