This instrument gives the concentration, density and velocity of the phases in the flow over the cross-section of the pipe and therefore can be used to produce images of the flow in real-time. This information can be integrated to give total mass flow of the phases and can also be interpreted to give dynamic flow structure details. Such an instrument is unique and can be applied to many industrial problems where mixture of different phases, e.g., oil, water, gas and solids, flow as a mixture in the process. This information will allow improved efficiency of the process and a reduced environmental impact.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
