STRATA will advance the current state-of-the-art aircraft Air & Thermal and Cabin Pressure Control components and systems.

Our components have been matured through previous projects up to TRL5 focusing on technical risk reduction, using OEM aircraft input parameters - STRATA will be the catalyst to continue and reach TRL6\.

Innovation will be achieved in product design, simulation, testing, and manufacture by utilising artificial intelligence (AI) and efficient additive manufacturing (AM) technologies.

STRATA will develop new AM supply chains in the UK around 3T and Qdot and enable skills development, knowledge transfer and support job creation not only in the aerospace industry but in adjacent markets. Bringing onboard new entrants and invaluable subject matter experts in this sector will sustain future technology developments. Using AM is the only way to produce our complex component designs at a competitive cost.

STRATA will apply the Beyond Math toolset to the simulation and modelling of our components, enabling a staggering 1000x time reduction in simulation time. STRATA will also focus on the whole product lifecycle of our AM components, developing and implementing Digital Thread techniques to understand processes at every step, from material sourcing through to component operation.
This will ultimately quantify and ensure we are reducing our overall carbon footprint along with optimising our upstream and downstream Scope 3 emissions.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
