Seaweed is an abundant, fast-growing, and renewable marine resource with wide potential in emerging green industries, including personal care, nutrition, textiles, and advanced materials. However, current processing techniques are limited in efficiency and often require energy-intensive or solvent-based methods, which restrict their environmental and economic performance.

If successful, this feasibility study will form the foundation for a future pilot-scale project, supporting the growth of sustainable coastal industries and the creation of new value chains around UK-harvested seaweed.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
