Our device will be capable of producing scents with very precise and variable intensity for the user to experience and record their ability to distinguish the smell. Recording this data regularly with varying scent intensities will allow the user to closely monitor their recovery progress and raise any issues with their doctor. This brings major benefits when compared to existing non-invasive methods by following a robust, measurable and repeatable process every time the user tests their ability to smell, removing many of the uncertainties and irregularities associated with the current methods.

Over the course of 6 months we will develop a minimum viable product consisting of the scent-generating hardware and software to control the intensity of each different scent. This device will be tested by a group of users to gather both technical data and user experience feedback that will be acted upon before the end of the project. We will also work with medical professionals to determine and develop scents to use with our device which are best suited for anosmia recovery.

By March 2023 we will have a full commercialisation and future funding strategy in place, allowing us to fully exploit this new revenue stream, and plan for expanding into other markets in the future.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
