It is based on a patent-pending technology, and will unleash new creative musical possibilities, while also reducing the time and cost of music production and editing. Our highly differentiated digital music interface has strong IP protection, and will compete in the $2bn per annum global keyboard market, and eventually in other areas of the $14bn per annum global music production industry. Sea Labs recently won a place in the Design London Incubator, built a strong team, progressed towards a user-trial prototype, and secured resources to fund our technical proof of concept.
This application seeks funding for a 'product/market adaptive fit' applied research and development project to enable us to conduct effective user-facing trials. Our key objectives are to: 1) establish a studio in Shoreditch for demonstrations, tests, and development, 2) build ten Seaboard prototypes to enable user trials, 3) conduct rigorous, in depth user-facing trials to identify and validate the minimum function set needed to initiate pre-production stage prototyping, and 4) iteratively adapt our software solutions towards a market-ready offering using detailed trial results. Achieving these objectives will engender an actionable understanding of our product and our technology's wide-ranging potential, ensure that we go to market with an optimal, validated feature set, expedite market-entry, reduce the risk of misreading market demand, and ultimately enable a successful commercial launch for the Seaboard next year.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
