Charities, especially the smaller ones, struggle to provide high quality training to their staff and volunteers. Top quality professional training is just too expensive for a sector that has been hit by budget cuts. Online education can be more affordable, but it lacks personalisation, and is less engaging.

Companies often invest in top quality in person training, but its content can remain theoretical if it is not put into practice early enough. Firms also struggle to offer their staff opportunities to make an impact through their work. This leads to higher turnover rates, especially among Millennials and Gen-Zers. This is neither addressed by traditional hands-on volunteering programs - which see low uptake and limited impact - nor by pro-bono approaches, which are too exclusive, expensive, and complex to set up.

Through our platform, charities get connected to corporate volunteers who are passionate about their cause. Using their paid volunteering day(s), these employees provide training to the charities' staff, by reusing internal training material, adapting it to the challenges faced by the charities.

Training can be delivered in person or remotely and usually by a pair of employees. They are fantastic opportunities to meet dedicated non-profit staff, share experiences from diverse environments and catalyse longer term partnerships, be it with funding or skilled support.

We see volunteering as a regular activity instead of a once-a-year event. Our platform makes scheduling and project management easy and flexible. Volunteers can make a difference in as little as two hours or half a day.

'_If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough._' For companies, be/impact is a unique way to bring their learning and development programs to the next level. When employees act as trainers, they solidify and extend their own knowledge, while making a true lasting impact. It also helps build a purpose-driven and supportive company culture, which is reflected by higher scores in ESG metrics and certifications such as B-Corps status. Additionally, several studies have proven the benefits of corporate volunteering for employee's well-being.

With be/impact, we hope to spark powerful collaborations that help charities make the world a better place. In the end, we are not just creating a new way to volunteer; we are starting a movement that helps businesses, charities, and communities thrive together.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
