For this reason Ovon developed the smart boiler controller, a device capable of reading diagnostic data from a boiler. It utilises all 3 main boiler protocols to gain detailed information into boiler performance and communicates to a cloud-based dashboard by NB-IoT.

This project is to develop an AI-integrated dashboard featuring machine learning algorithms to view a boiler's past performance and provide customers with exact part specifications for what is likely to fail. This means councils can optimise their maintenance provision, save money on engineer call-outs, and improve customer service.

This is a highly innovative process and goes far beyond anything currently on the market, as smart thermostats have no diagnostic capability and are limited by WiFi restrictions. Boilers even if assessed in person by an engineer only currently provide fault codes that cover a range of problems. With Ovon's insight, we can provide accurate information before a problem even occurs.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
