These tools support businesses and local governments to plan and develop pipelines of projects in their area that can help them to meet their sustainable development objectives.

This feasibility study will help us to do two things:

1) build on promising high level political interest in our tools in Kisumu County in Kenya where we will explore market partners and clients, and develop implementation plans

2) Investigate how our data-driven integrated planning tools can be connected to sustainable investment to create a stronger business opportunity for cities and regions in Kenya and other parts of the world. For this we will develop the data specifications and strategy to connect to the Equity4Humanity collaboration

The main focus of this phase of work is to carry out a feasibility study into the form of the operating system, how it should be configured to be practical and deployed to best benefit the stakeholders in a selected demonstration region of Kisumu County in Kenya, on Lake Victoria. The region is facing the major challenges of managing a COViD outbreak and finding a recovery route that addresses severe lake pollution, health problems arising from poor sanitation, declining agriculture and fishery production and the need to mitigate and adapt to climate change. The Governor of Kisumu County is attracted to the idea of taking a systems approach to this and attracting private capital when public finances are so depleted by COViD impact on the economy.

This highly innovative approach will be the first fully integrated digital operating system with interoperable data that straddles early planning, project development and design, regional economics, people-their health and needs through data analytics and modelling, the health of ecology, decision making and accountancy support for public private partnership investment and insurance, governance and regulation for the government to implement a regional investment fund.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
