10058034Building an inclusive female-focussed finance app to help all women be financially well, with a focus on community.ClosedGrant for R&DInnovate UKFinancielle is taking its award-winning female finance app to the next level - by launching a community strategy that brings together its community onto the platform. What started as an Instagram community back in 2018 has successfully grown across social and private platforms, including having one of the largest followings on a finance Tik Tok account, a 1000+ private community and hundreds of women in Financielle Whatsapp groups, all supporting each other to take back control of their money. Financielle provides its users with educational and inspirational content, including The Financielle Playbook, a step by step guide to managing money. Users benefit from supportive tools such as a budget planner, a net worth tracker, goal and debt trackers and a life admin tool. The community supports each other as users work through the stages of The Financielle Playbook. By bringing the community onto the Financielle app platform, users have a one-stop shop for learning about, talking about and managing their money. Financielle is a community-first app, celebrating the diverse backgrounds and experience of its users and recognising that managing money isn't a one-size-fits-all approach. By creating a step by step plan that the community applies to their own financial situation, users can build their own financial wellness strategy and tap into the content and support that suits their needs. We recognise the importance of building an inclusive product that helps women everywhere no matter their age, life stage or cultural background. We want to help educate and facilitate women on their financial wellness journey where financial conversations have been ring fenced throughout their lives; whether that be upbringing or due to traditional and cultural roles within the home. Women are behind in every area of personal finance navigating the Gender Pay Gap, The Motherhood Penalty and the Gender Investment gap which currently stands at £1.65 trillion in the UK alone. Our experience in building the product so far has shown us that by removing the overwhelm and supporting women to increase their knowledge and financial confidence in a safe space, they are more likely to take control of their finances.
