The study will validate that a network of overhead catenary cables is technically viable and economically feasible compared to alternative methods to decarbonise HGV traffic using this section of road. The project will include planning, preliminary engineering designs, site (demonstration route) surveys, financial modelling, and liaison with fleet operators using the A34 to understand the business and service impacts. We will work with key stakeholders such as the DNO (SEPD) to establish the grid impacts and mitigations, as well as local road stakeholders to demonstrate safe operation of the proposed system.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
