By combining model-based systems engineering with advanced simulation and optimisation techniques, OptQDrive enables integrated co-design of vehicle architecture and control systems, improving efficiency, performance, and sustainability.

The platform leverages emerging quantum computing technologies alongside proven classical solvers and open-source tools to tackle complex, high-dimensional optimisation challenges. Using automated, textual system modelling (SysML v2), OptQDrive streamlines requirements verification and supports scalable, traceable engineering workflows.

OptQDrive integrates with leading automotive simulation environments, providing flexible, on-demand optimisation capabilities suitable for OEMs, suppliers, and engineering service providers. Its modular design allows adaptability across various transport sectors, including electric and autonomous vehicles, and has potential applications in energy systems and defence.

This project will develop a proof-of-concept prototype showcasing the platform's capabilities, laying the foundation for future innovation in clean, efficient, and intelligent mobility.
