130695Ultra-compact 15kW microturbine range extenderClosedFeasibility StudiesInnovate UKThe aim of this study is to investigate the technical and commercial feasibility of using a microturbine-based generator as a low cost range extender for electric vehicles. The project is targeted specifically at A-, B- and C-segment vehicles and the power output has therefore been proposed at 15kW - smaller than most range extenders currently in development. Applications in larger vehicles and alternative markets will also be investigated.
