Customer research has shown that in-video product placement ismuch more accepted by the viewer than the current 30-second interstitial advertising in television. As Internet-based TV and video on demand serviceutilise a 1-to-1 link with the customer, specific advertising can be embedded into the video stream on a customer per customer basis. This is not possible with traditional satellite and terrestrial broadcasting technologies. 
SLIPSTREAM aims to deliver an end-to-end ground-breaking trial demonstrator system that will include a set-top box,- a user profiling system, and an on-line framework for broadcasters to be able to offer such advertising to advertisers.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
