It takes the form of a display showing real time, historical and cost data in a format that is easily understood by both owners and staff. By providing the information in this format, reductions in usage and cost will be achieved. It will also show scrolling energy tips to users.The display uses data from utility meters (where location to the meter is accessible to the screen) to convey the awareness to the users through a web browser. It is our vision to develop the display so the information can also be accessed from other locations on site via spreadsheet software if there is a need to print out the information. The initial design of the display is to convey electricity information to the user. With further development, the display will show information on other utilities (water, gas and oil) through specific input modules designed to work with the display. Due to the location of water meters (usually installed outside the building) we would like to develop a low cost wireless module to bring this information to the display.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
