Password security is the 1st line of defence. However, individuals are always forgetting passwords. Many of the current password tokens deployed by large corporates and government require back-end infrastructure and software causing difficult and expensive deployment.
The initial idea of Smart Architects was to develop a pocketsize device that would provide consumers and small businesses with very strong passwords in an easy to use form. The main requirements were plug-and-play, no specific requirements on computers and their software, reliability, easy recovery from loss, and security.
Smart Architects has developed sCrib and the prototype is generating initial interest from a diverse range of market segments. The main features of the sCrib token prototypes meet initial requirements and feature additional functionality like protection from key logging malware. It is now essential to understand the segment requirements and capitalise on the opportunity.
Having such an easy to use, secure password token could significantly disrupt the data security market for consumers and small businesses. Whilst we have carried out some initial market testing we recognise we need to full understand the most attractive market segments and their user requirements.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
